Intel Ireland is committed to community service at both a local and national level. Our hope is to earn the support of the Irish community by being responsible, concerned and involved.
In 2008, Intel Ireland won the prestigious honour of Overall Outstanding Achievement in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as well as a Responsible Employer Award at The Chambers Ireland President's Awards for CSR.
We have a number of activities that we hope will increase understanding with our neighbours in North Kildare, where our main offices are based.
A panel for comment
Representatives from the community are invited to participate on our Community Advisory Panel, which consists of 17 community members who represent various local community groups and key interest areas in the wider community.

Employee volunteering
We encourage all our employees to take part in the Intel Involved programme in which they can volunteer to help with local community and educational projects.

Concern for the environment
We have also developed a special link between Intel and conservators of the River Rye, with Intel working with the Central Fisheries Board, University College Dublin and Leixlip Anglers Club to save a salmon and trout fishery from destruction and restore it to full health.

Funding for local organisations
The Intel Foundation has also expanded our Intel Involved Grant Matching programme to recognise and reward employees who volunteer for community organisations throughout Ireland. Its objective is to support employees who give their time and talent to qualifying non–profit and non–governmental organisations and to schools. When an Intel employee has volunteered for a minimum of 20 hours at a school or non–profit organisation, the Intel Foundation will offer a donation to match. Eligible organisation can raise up to US$10,000 per year through this scheme.
